because the same team thats doing the item transfers JUST finished working on player isk transfers.
and therefore should only NOW be working on item transfers.
you can rest assured that the next update from that team will be item transfers, but this will be done carefully as it also involves the economy and as in eve CCP takes its econamy seriously so it will NOT be rushed and will even be held back in order to create a stable market. |

CCP probably can simply not afford to lose the small amount of hard currency they eke out at present.
You're saying here that CCP has ulterior motives to stop item trading. That's a load of BS. CCP stated I believe that BPOs and such would not be tradable. Outside that, allowing the trade of consumable items wouldn't hurt CCP's revenue from the game. If anything they would increase it. Also, item trading is core functionality that has to happen before other steps on the path of Eve-Dust interaction. It will be in in the next 4 months or sooner.
people could sell aurum weapons for ISK.
what this would do is cause people who want to buy isk to buy aurum, buy desireable AUR weapons and then sell them for isk.
it would increase the purchase of aurum not decrease it |

the reason they reduced the salvage numbers was to reduce the impact on the coming economy, they were seeking to avoid i giant overstock of salvage items, waiting 4 months would undue that work.
i surmise that we are looking at about 1-2 months, probably 1.4 or 1.5
inventories are primed and ready for the change, and the framework used for item trading has been finished (isk trading was built of the framwork, they would of had to program the backend with both isk and item trading in mind so now its more than half finished and they are working on the finishing touches and the future market balancing)
only after that will we start to see work done of providing rewards for faction warfare.
certain things rely on other things to be developed and ready, its not hard to see how far along any particular project is.
cloaking however is taking a long long time, there was probably some seriously huge bugs with it. |
